Registering GA4 key events and custom dimensions

After publishing GTM, register these as key events in Google Analytics for conversion reporting:

  1. Go to Google Analytics → Admin → Data display → Key events
  2. Create key events:
    — purchase – completed purchase
    — generate_lead – form submission
    — contact_click – email, phone, or map link click

To see detailed form and contact data in GA4 reports:

  1. Go to Google Analytics → Admin → Custom definitions → Custom dimensions
  2. Create dimensions:
    — form_id (event scope, parameter: form_id)
    — form_type (event scope, parameter: form_type)
    — form_title (event scope, parameter: form_title)
    — contact_method (event scope, parameter: contact_method)
    — contact_value (event scope, parameter: contact_value)
